Paris Gallery Weekend 2023
26 — 28 May. 2023
This year’s Paris Gallery Weekend features more than 100 galleries and a selection of 250 artists for the annual inter-gallery event from May 26 to 28.
Open to all, free and open to all, Paris Gallery Weekend invites collectors and art lovers to exhibitions, themed tours and events in Parisian galleries.
Since 2021, the CPGA – Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art – has taken over from the Choices association in organizing Paris Gallery Weekend. This event is a reminder of the central role played by galleries, and of the issues currently at stake as the Paris marketplace asserts its renewed dynamism. The 2023 edition of Paris Gallery Weekend is organized under the aegis of a Board comprising Isabelle Alfonsi (Marcelle Alix), Nathalie Berghege (Galerie Lelong), Florence Bonnefous (Air de Paris), Vanessa Clairet (Perrotin), Yves Zlotowski (Galerie Zlotowski) and Marion Papillon (Galerie Papillon), President of the CPGA. The event is run by Anne-Sophie Simenel, CPGA co-delegate general and Océane Arnaud.
For three days, Paris Gallery Weekend will feature themed tours led by leading figures from the art world (critics, institutions, collectors, journalists), the “Samurai”, invited to share their views and expertise on subjects such as the emerging art scene or ecology. These thematic tours are in addition to geographical tours of the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Matignon and Romainville. Gallery Weekend events will be divided into neighborhoods and half-days, and will include vernissages, meetings with artists, performances and book signings.
