The Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art and Emerige are delighted to announce that Felipe Romero Beltrán and his galerie HATCH have won the Emerige-CPGA 2024 Prize at Arco Madrid on Thursday March 7.
The Emerige-CPGA Prize, organized by Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art and the Fonds de Dotation Emerige, rewards a major work by a French artist exhibited at Arco Madrid, and highlights the relationship between the artist and his or her gallery. The €7,000 prize is shared between the artist and the galleries exhibiting his or her work.
The jury, composed of Alejandro Lazaro Collado (President of Alhambra Partners, collector), Laurent Dumas (President of the Supervisory Board of Emerige and of the Emerige Endowment Fund, collector), Julia Morandeira (Director of Kadist), Imma Prieto (Director of the Tapiès Foundation in Barcelona) and Markus Reymann (Director of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art 21 Academy) had received applications from 41 artists presented by 39 galleries participating in the ARCO Madrid fair.
Congratulations to the Emerige-CPGA 2024 winners!
For its first edition in 2023, this new prize, whose ambition is to support the talents of the French art scene and promote its visibility and influence internationally, was awarded to Kenia Almaraz Murillo and her gallery Anne-Sarah Benichou.
