Exhibitions and collections in artists’ careers
15 Dec. 2015
In December 2015, Nathalie Moreau carried out a study for the CPGA exploring the place of exhibitions and collections in the careers of artists, particularly French artists, on the international scene. This comparative analysis includes three other European countries as Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
The study aims to highlight the situation of French artists and their careers in what differentiates them from other European artists of equal notoriety. Thus, the report makes it possible to take stock of what authorizes a greater presence of European artists towards French artists. In this context, Nathalie Moreau is interested as much in the international rankings of artists as in their presence in galleries, passing through the comparative analysis of exhibitions and collections where French and European artists appear and finally ends with some recommendations.
