Bendana | Pinel Art Contemporain
Contemporary art collector and diplomat, Juan Carlos Bendana-Pinel definitely put aside his career to open a gallery in the Parisian district of Le Marais in 2008. The focus was placed on creation in all its forms (painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, drawing) and a program laying great emphasis on international artists, mostly European and Latin American.
For the first time in Europe, he held exhibitions of artists Pablo Lobato and Pedro Motta from Brazil, Florencia Rodriguez Giles and Mauro Giaconi from Argentina, Francisca Aninat from Chili and Alejandra Laviada from Mexico.
He is the only representative in France of the Swedish Maria Friberg and Thomas Broomé, the Germans Matthias Reinmuth and Julio Rondo, the Argentinian Miguel Rothschild, the Brazilians Débora Bolsoni, Dias & Riedweg and Caio Reisewitz, the Swiss Olivier Richon, the Chilean Sandra Vásquez de la Horra and the Mexican duo Lake Verea.
He also promotes artists living in France, in particular Steven Le Priol, Christiane Pooley and Alberto Cont.
