Galerie Arcturus
Located on rue de Seine, in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés, the Arcturus Gallery opened in 1999, driven by the passion for contemporary art of Anne de la Roussière, who came from the banking world. Still driven by this same energy, the Gallery supports a coherent multidisciplinary selection of European artists and occasionally presents modern works.
The artistic orientation is voluntarily diversified; the works proposed – paintings, photographs, and sculptures – reflect a cultural heritage specific to each artist. The technical and pictorial qualities of the works are in harmony with each other and offer the collector a dynamic and enlightened choice.
The gallery has participated in the discovery of many European talents whose fame is growing, including Miguel Macaya (Spanish painter), Hervé Abbadie (French photographer), Gabriel Schmitz (German painter), Regina Gimenez (Spanish painter), Juliette Losq (English painter), YLAG (French painter), Alejandro Quincoces (Spanish painter), and gathered the confidence of confirmed artists such as Gottfried Salzmann (painter of Austrian origin), Franck Duminil (French painter), Marc Riboud (French photographer) or Arno MINKKINEN (Finnish-American photographer)… . .
To be alive is to be curious, in the heart of its time. It is to be present to the artists of his time. And to go and see what is happening beyond the borders. Here is the essence of what underlies the energy of the gallery’s team since its creation.
