Galerie Ceysson & Bénétière
In 2006, Bernard Ceysson, François Ceysson and Loïc Bénétière opened their first exhibition space in Saint-Étienne (France). The Galerie Bernard Ceysson will then move to the historic center of Luxembourg in 2008, to a 200 m² space in the Marais district of Paris, near the Centre Georges Pompidou, and to Geneva in 2012. Building on the success of these different locations, the gallery acquired a 1400 m2 space in the suburbs of Luxembourg in 2015, which was inaugurated with a monumental exhibition by the artist Bernar Venet.
Since its creation, the Bernard Ceysson Gallery has presented the work of both established and emerging French and international artists.
The gallery is committed to defending the historic Supports/Surface movement, a pivotal group in the history of contemporary art that includes Claude Viallat, Louis Cane, Bernard Pagès, Pierre Buraglio, Patrick Saytour, Marc Devade, Noel Dolla and André-Pierre Arnal. It also supports with conviction young artists who already benefit for the most part from a solid reputation such as Franck Chalendard, Sadie Laska, Wallace Whitney, Lauren Luloff, Alexander Nolan, Ronald Ophuis, Nicolas Momein, Denis Castellas, Sara Braman or Rémy Jacquier.
