Galerie Collégiale – Lille
Created in 1991 in the Old Lille, rue de la Collégiale, by Véronique Dalle who had an art appraisal office, the Galerie Collégiale – Lille was refounded in April 2008 in a Maison de Maitre in the Moulins district of Lille.
An industrial district until the 1980s, Moulins is gradually being transformed by hosting places dedicated to contemporary creation: artists’ studios, Maison Folie, artists’ residences, cultural associations … and the Galerie Collégiale which is a pioneer; it has founded one of the most beautiful places dedicated to art in the city of Lille.
Located on the garden level in the outbuildings of the house, it extends over 200 m2 on the first floor of the gallery (print room), on the ground floor of the house and in the carriage entrance.
It manages a permanent collection of works by the gallery’s artists and houses the association called l’Art à Lille, which offers courses in art history and organizes drawing, engraving and writing workshops, as well as workshops for children.
Discoverer, the gallery accompanies artists chosen for the quality of their work and the singularity of their writing: painters, sculptors, engravers.
Mode of diffusion: permanent exhibitions at the gallery, some exhibitions in and outside the walls, outings to contemporary art fairs in the region and internationally.
