Galerie Maison Rapin
After Brussels, London and Hong Kong, Philippe Rapin is moving to Paris in 2012, in his historic gallery at 25 Quai Voltaire. Today, Maison Rapin is located at 7 quai de Conti in the 6th arrondissement. Through this gallery dedicated to the Decorative Arts, Maison Rapin presents an atypical mix of historical creations from the 20th century and exclusive contemporary creations. A unique baroque style, representative of Philippe Rapin’s career as an antique dealer, expert, collector and designer.
The creations of major 20th century artists such as Robert Goossens, Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent’s faithful craftsman, and goldsmith Jean Després rub shoulders with the contemporary “jewel furniture” of KAM TIN, and the editions of Maison Rapin. An atmosphere where the colored glasses of Roberto G. Rida, or Simone Cenedese, mingle with ambers, turquoise and ceramics from the nineteenth to the twenty-first centuries.
In 2019, the gallerist will join forces with his collaborators Alice Kargar and Virgile Dumont to perpetuate the typical style of Maison Rapin, and continue to spread it around the world at major international fairs.
