Galerie Maria Lund
The Maria Lund Gallery exists since 1999. If the goal was initially to offer a visibility to the Nordic scene in Paris, little by little the gallery opened to new horizons. Today, the gallery maintains a privileged relationship with Scandinavia but presents a selection of international artists alongside the Nordic artists.
Maria Lund is attached to the notion of a guideline, of coherence in the programming. She consistently supports art that combines conceptual depth and plastic rigor; works that are refined and strong, that in a contemporary form raise existential questions and suggest meaning more than they impose. These requirements have led to a program that brings together a diversity of formal approaches, considerations and subjects, as well as a wide range of media.
The representation of artists includes the publication of catalogs.
The gallery regularly accompanies the realization of commissions for specific private or public sites. It also takes charge of the installation of temporary exhibitions in collaboration with institutions and private partners.
The participation in fairs in France (Drawing Now – YIA – SLICK – ART PARIS) and abroad (KIAF, Seoul – Art14 & 15, London – Art on paper, Brussels) is recurrent.
