Galerie Marie Vitoux
More than thirty years that the Marie Vitoux gallery exists. All these years have been devoted to defending painters, sculptors, performers whose artistic qualities I sensed. I followed my impulses, my favorites. Emotion invites itself, hug or extortion? Emovere also means disturbance: it is an art that uninstalls.
To name just a few names from Maurice Rocher, Rustin, Cremonini, Velickovic to the youngest Olivier de Sagazan, C. Rizzo, N. Bourdreux, F. Metzger, C. Griffon du Bellay, P. de Laborderie… we are faced with these creative portraits, direct sometimes violent, and to these upsurges, these flashes of human shadows which appear in a disturbed space, an illogical time. With perfect technique, the spectator circulates in this great wasteland of life: an adventure that speaks of the unbearable and its clearings. The human aware of this present which oscillates, which hustles makes “freedom and necessity” coincide.
This choice of artists that I represent is often linked to expressionism but also to an “existential figuration” always engaged in the contemporary world.
