La Galerie Rouge
La Galerie Rouge, a mythic address for lovers of photography since 1975, supports fine art photography from the 20th century as well as emerging photographers. We love, exhibit, and sell fine prints and moving and striking images that challenge our relationship to the world around us.
We notably represent in France the Estates of Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Édouard Boubat and Jean-Philippe Charbonnier. The gallery’s contemporary program shows both classic and recent work by young and mid-career artists that reflects the everchanging ideas and look of photography in France and elsewhere.
Its director, Agathe Cancellieri, doctor in history photography and trained in United States, is building a place where both traditional and contemporary approaches meet.
