Sissi Club
Gallery Sisi Club
sissi club is a gallery based in Marseille. Established in April 2019, it is run by two curators with a background in art history, Elise Poitevin and Anne Vimeux.
It first opened as a project space dedicated to supporting emerging artists, questioning the geographic dynamics of contemporary art. In 2022, sissi club embraced the gallery model to enhance its relationship with a group of represented artists.
The approach adopted emphasises personal empowerment through research and fiction, and explores the politics of space and bodies through decolonial, queer, inclusive and ecological positions.
