The National Center for Plastic Arts (Cnap) is a public establishment of the Ministry of Culture and Communication which contributes to the creation and vitality of the French artistic scene in the field of visual arts, as well as to the fortification of the national contemporary heritage with a view to its dissemination to the public.
The Cnap implements a set of measures intended for contemporary art galleries, established in France, in order to support their various production and distribution actions as well as the deployment of their activity internationally.
The CPGA sits on the Board of Directors of the CNAP as well as in allocation commissions for support to contemporary art galleries participating at international fairs, support for the first exhibition, support for publication and a repayable advance for the production of an original work.
The CPGA has worked closely with the Cnap for the implementation, as part of the 2021 and 2022 recovery plan, of exceptional support for the economy of contemporary art galleries on the basis of their fixed costs.
