Institut Français

The Institut français is the public establishment in charge of France’s external cultural action, under the supervision of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture.

The Institut français supports the 131 cooperation and cultural action departments of French embassies, as well as the 98 French institutes and 138 branches around the world (under the authority of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs) and the 27 French research institutes abroad (under the authority of the MEAE and the CNRS).

The CPGA collaborates with the French Institute and its various branches around the world in order to deepen the international network of art galleries based in France.
