Projet soutenu
Salon d’Eté
The Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art is supporting the Salon d’Eté project as part of its efforts to support the French art scene and other galleries. The event brings together galleries from the Parisian art community around a group exhibition in the spaces of the house, a program of performances and conversations, and a banquet in the garden.
Salon d’Été is conceived as a tribute to the famous Parisian gallery owner and collector Louis Carré (1897-1977), who ran the eponymous gallery in the post-war period and hosted countless receptions in his villa, inviting artists, intellectuals, politicians and other cultural figures. In the spirit of Carré, who co-founded the Comité professionnel des Galeries d’Art, Salon d’Été brings together members of the Paris art scene for a weekend of collegial dialogue and celebration through art.
