CNAP
The Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap) is a public institution of the Ministry of Culture and Communication which contributes to the creation and vitality of the French artistic scene in the field of visual arts, as well as to the enrichment of the national contemporary heritage with a view to its distribution to the public.
Cnap implements a series of measures intended for contemporary art galleries established in France, in order to support their various production and distribution activities as well as the deployment of their activity internationally.
The CPGA is a member of the CNAP’s Board of Directors as well as of the commissions for the attribution of Support to contemporary art galleries for participation in a fair abroad, Support for the first exhibition, Support for publication and the Repayable Advance for the production of an original work by a contemporary art gallery.
The CPGA has worked closely with the Cnap for the implementation, within the framework of the 2021 and 2022 recovery plan, of the exceptional support to the economy of contemporary art galleries on the basis of their fixed charges.
