Les Yeux Ouverts
The Professional Committee of Art Galleries strives to promote the central role of galleries in the artistic and cultural sector by relying on their specificities, their expertise, their work to promote artists or artistic currents. Wishing to remind a wide public of the artistic and cultural offer, free and accessible to all, represented by the spaces of art galleries, the Professional Committee of Art Galleries is committed to getting involved in a Corporate Social Responsibility approach.
An educative, artistic and cultural project
Since 2016, the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art has been supporting this CSR initiative, placing art at the heart of its first social commitments by promoting access to culture for children from priority education networks. Les Yeux Ouverts offers these young people a chance to immerse themselves in contemporary art through visits to Parisian galleries and museums.
Building on the success of its first edition with pupils from the Montaigne school in Sevran (93), this adventure has now been running for almost ten years, with the aim of awakening curiosity and democratising access to artistic creation. Each outing becomes a real exploration, where children discover works of art, meet artists and develop a critical and sensitive view of art.
Since its inception, this project has benefited from the active support of CPGA member galleries, who generously open their doors and share their passion with these young visitors.
Each participating child also receives a handbook illustrated by Winshluss, a fun and educational tool that extends this artistic experience beyond the visit.
Les Yeux Ouverts is a demonstration that art is a powerful lever for inclusion and cultural diversity. Because every child deserves to have their eyes opened to the world of culture.
